Annual "Stuff a Bus" Holiday Program
The Northeast Charter & Tour Company, Inc., (NECT) located in Lewiston is partnering with members of the Androscoggin Chamber for their annual "Stuff a Bus" holiday program. The goal of the program is for residents and local businesses to donate toys and clothing for children in need. With support from the Androscoggin Chamber of Commerce and the Young Professionals of Lewiston Auburn the program goal is to provide gifts to more than 1,400 local families in need this holiday season. NECT Partners With Eliot Cutler
Northeast Charter and Tour is proud to provide our 29-passenger hybrid motorcoach for Eliot Cutler's "Jobs and Opportunity Tour" and that begins on October 29 in Madawaska.
During the tour, campaign events and rallies are planned along the way in Bangor, Ellsworth, Rockland, Auburn, Saco and other communities leading up to election day. Cutler's bus will travel from the northern to southern tips of the state before heading back to Portland for a final rally in Monument Square Monday evening. More...

Northeast Charter & Tour provides Presidential Transportation
In July, when President Barack Obama and his family recently visited the coast of Maine, his staff called upon the Northeast Charter & Tour motorcoach company. We provided transportation service as part of the presidential motorcade of over 15 vehicles that traveled onto Mount Desert Island and around the Bar Harbor area.

Northeast Charter & Tour Brings Home Big Winner!
On June 8th, during a casino trip on Northeast Charter & Tour, Gloria Mank from Rockport, Maine won $128,000 on a penny slot machine at Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut. Mank enjoys frequent trips to the casino and has been traveling with Northeast Charter & Tour since 2000.

NECT Bus Company Gets BIW Contract
The Northeast Charter & Tour bus company recently announced that the company has agreed to a contract with Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) to provide transportation for military troops from the barracks at the Brunswick Naval Air Station to Bath Iron Works. Buses will run eight times a day Monday thru Friday from May until August.
To service the troops, NECT also announced the hiring of bus driver Suzy Lawrence. Lawrence also works as a school bus driver for the Auburn School District.

Ouellette receives Polar Bear Award from Bowdoin College
Mike Ouellette, parts and service manager at Northeast Charter & Tour Inc. recently received the 2010 Polar Bear Award from Bowdoin College. The "Polar Bear Award" is presented annually to an individual who provides outstanding support of Bowdoin College Athletics and is an important part of the Bowdoin Community.
Ouellette has worked in charter and tour business his entire life. His father and grandfather were the founding members of The Maine Line/Brunswick Transportation company that provided charter bus transportation in Maine from 1952 until 1999.

Northeast Charter & Tour Brings First Hybrid Minibus to Maine
In 2009, Northeast Charter & Tour brought the first hybrid minibus to Maine. The new 29-Passenger Hybrid minibus, nicknamed the "Green Machine" is built with clean burn technology and gets much better fuel mileage than other non-hybrid vehicles. |

Recently, Northeast Charter & Tour added Harry Brewster, David Gagnon, Charles Gilpatric to their experience team of drivers. The company also hired driver Daniel Keene who joins Northeast Charter & Tour as part of their new relationship with the Lewiston/Auburn YMCA. |
