Northeast Charter & Tour Company, Inc. Partners with Androscoggin Chamber to "Stuff a Bus" for Local Children in Need

LEWISTON, Maine - The Northeast Charter & Tour Company, Inc., (NECT) located in Lewiston is partnering with members of the Androscoggin Chamber for their annual "Stuff a Bus" holiday program. The event will take place on December 11 and 12 outside the Lowe's Home Improvement store in Auburn. The goal of the program is for residents and local businesses to donate toys and clothing for children in need. With support from the Androscoggin Chamber of Commerce and the Young Professionals of Lewiston Auburn the program goal is to provide gifts to more than 1,400 presents for local families in need this holiday season.
"We are excited to be partnering again with the Androscoggin Chamber of Commerce on this great community tradition. We are proud to provide our motor coach for this fundraiser. With tremendous local support, we hope to fill the bus from the driver's seat, back to the bathroom door," said Scott A. Riccio, president, owner and founder of NECT.
The collected gifts will be donated to three local Maine organizations that include, Androscoggin County Head Start, Advocates for Children and Tri-County Mental Health Services.
On Saturday, December 11 and Sunday, December 12 the Northeast Charter & Tour Company will park a bus outside the Lowe's Home Improvement store in Auburn for people to donate unwrapped toys, clothes or other appropriate gifts for children ages 0-18. A full list of the donation locations and times is listed below.
Saturday, December 11 and Sunday, December 12: Northeast Charter & Tour motor coach company will have a bus parked in the Lowe's parking lot from 11:00am-3:00pm at Lowe's, 650 Turner Street in Auburn.
Wednesday, December 15th: The Chamber Kids for the Holidays bus will be drive around the Auburn/Lewiston business communities to pick up large donations. Businesses can arrange a pick up by calling the Androscoggin Chamber at 783-2249.
Thursday, December 16th: Members of the Androscoggin Chamber and guests can donate gifts at the "Business after Hours" at Lost Valley Ski & Banquet Resort. The event begins at 5:00 p.m. at 200 Lost Valley Road in Auburn.

The Androscoggin Chamber and the Young Professionals of Lewiston Auburn is also currently looking for volunteers to help with the event on December 11th or 12th to receive and organize the gifts on the bus.
