Snacks at the Game!

Are you the mom assigned to deliver snacks to the game of your kid?

We’ve done it, starting way back when. Gymnastic and t-ball, football games and league suits, correct? If you know what we’re talking about, that usually means you’re lucky to have had at least one little person that you care about involved in youth sports. (And if you weren’t the parent, you’re the dear aunt or uncle or grandparent who was coming to encourage a particular young person in your life)

But, you understand the routine. Whether the gamer were six or sixteen, you may have been asked to bring some snacks to them in halftime or when the match was over. And this isn’t a past-tense thing. You’re still “at the sport,” so to speak, delegated to take food to a upcoming tournament in a couple of weeks.

If this is you, here are a few ideas that might be useful.

To start with, think of bringing something which isn’t messy. You don’t want to be out on a field or on a courtroom, attempting to figure out the best way to wash a lot of smudgy, sweaty palms on. Try to bring something that avoids that all, like fruit leather.

Remember to bring something cool for the children to drink. When they’ve been working hard and they are sexy, they’ll love coming to get a break and being able to quench their thirst and cool down a little before having to hit it hard again.

If they have been sweating a good deal, they enjoy something that’s a little on the other side. You’re able to help replenish salt levels in your system by keeping this in mind as you take snacks for the group. Salted nuts, pretzels, jerky. . . you get the notion.

You know what? There’s always that time once the team has finished a you’re responsible for rewarding them and lawsuit. And is not treat frequently synonymous with sweet? How about ice cream sandwiches? A popular candy bar? Cinnamon rolls? Whatever it is. . .rewarding them after a job seems to do.

And, regardless of what cure you choose, remember to bring along a garbage bag to make cleanup easy (and you may want some wet wipes, too, just in case).

And as for other facets of coordinating youth sporting events, we can help with at least one thing. Not all events are organized via cities or schools, and occasionally you need to charter a bus to your transport. That is what we specialize in by offering our bus rental Maine! While you worry about caring for the snacks, we can ensure you get there safely and on time!
